Do you ever get to a point in time where everything seems to come together in perfect harmony? No, nor me!
Recently I opted to take redundancy (I’m in the photo celebrating way too hard) and it coincided with my children becoming independent… for the first time in my life I am officially free to do what the hell I want.
I considered renovating the house which is in need of some repair, I considered it for about the same length of time it took for me to accept a cheque instead of twice as much work for the same money! No, the house renovation can wait, as can finding a new job or sitting on my arse watching TV. Nope I am off travelling.

Now I have been fortunate to travel a lot, I have been given various names by my ex colleagues including “Judith Chalmers”, “Alan Whicker” or “Lucky Bastard” although the last one has me baffled as surely earning money and buying travel have little to do with luck. I have done a lot of travelling, I once went to seven countries in seven days on a budget of £250 which included eight flights… something I still haven’t got round to writing up.
So am I off, my flight leaves Birmingham on the 4th January to Hong Kong, as yet I have no return flight or onward details, but let’s see where the road will take me.
